The Misty Split Sleeve Top Turned Dress by Sew-To-Fit AD Lynn

Meet the Misty Top by Sew-To-Fit by AD Lynn patterns.  This is one of my first, aside from the Fitting and Designing Block I created to use in my classes.  I am stoked at the reception she has gotten since I rolled her out in April.  Now I am happy to present her to you all here on the blog.

Misty is perfect for making several fun summer tops or dresses with split sleeves.  Or be creative and change the sleeves up as seen here in the pics by sewing extra stitches.
This has the fitting convenience of the center back seam, and room at the waist and hips to cover the jeans and shorts, as well as the buffet dinner hanging out at the tummy area.
The pattern is cut to give a very snug fit at the bust and then sways out for room everywhere else.

Sizes:  Size ranges from a 6-24 and as with all my pattern give much needed room the curves.

Measurements range for the Upper Bust from a 36"- 50 1/4"
The Bust Cup Size:  The pattern is cut for a C/DD cup with 3" difference from the upper bust to the full bust measurement.
How to Choose your size:  Select your size based on your upper bust.  There is 3" difference available for sizing, plus 2.5" of ease so you are free from the FBA syndrome!!  If you need more room, I have a really cool way to help you "plot" your size for maximum fitting even before you cut a muslin.

This version was cut out of silk charmeuse from Sew Much Fabric, and may be all gone, but she has other wonder fabrics that will suit this design.  The sleeves were shorted to get this look, but do have the same wonderful split sleeve design I intended when I designed it back in April.  I cut it here on the bias to get the soft drape needed to avoid adding a zipper.
The neckline is akin to the "reversed shawl" that folds into the neck at the back instead of out, which creates a beautiful feminine "built-up" look that actually hugs the neck and chest.  The shirt tail hem make for a beautiful fun addition whether cut short or long as a dress.  Need I not forget the front is already cut slightly longer so you won't end up with you dress or top hiking up in the front to accommodate for the bust.
Thanks to everyone who has been so extremely supportive and encouraging to help me roll this out to the public.
